BioCatalyst 2025 Event Recap

BioCatalyst 2025 brought together 170 innovators, investors, community partners, and industry leaders from across food, agriculture, and biomanufacturing for an in-depth exploration of market trends and emerging opportunities that are shaping the fast-growing circular bioeconomy sector.

The full-day BioCatalyst program featured panel discussions, networking opportunities, demonstrations, and expert speakers who discussed:

  • Strategies for unlocking investment and deal flow in the bioeconomy

  • De-risking technology through shared infrastructure and public-private partnerships

  • Corporate demand for circular feedstocks and bio-based materials, chemicals, and ingredients

  • Unlocking the biomass feedstock supply chain

  • California’s leadership role in the global bioeconomy

This year's event included a special Innovation Spotlight on Almond Co-Products, which explored full-circle futures and high-value uses for almond industry co-products including hulls, shells, and woody biomass.

BioCatalyst also showcased the 2025 BEAM Circular Accelerator Cohort in a live pitch session that connected startups with investors and industry partners.
